Ten years ago, I delved into the world of anesthesia as a Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist, mastering the art of safely guiding patients through diverse realms of unconsciousness.
In 2018, I donned the coveted title of Doctor of Nursing, an honor accompanied by the prestigious Jonas Nurse Scholar distinction. My educational journey has been a compass guiding me to new horizons, but it's not all about titles – it's about embracing my passions with fervor.
For the past few years, I've added aesthetics to my repertoire. Countless trainings, cadaver labs, and ongoing educational endeavors have led me here, where I can blend my artistic flair with my dedication to others' well-being. I received my bachelors of science in Family and Consumer Science from Western Michigan University and completed my esthetician training in early 2022.
My love for skincare and finding integrative solutions is what brought me into the world of esthetics. Building the confidence of both myself and others is what drives my passion of product knowledge, the science behind ingredients, and the overall skin care and makeup application process itself.
Coming from a family of athletes and years of playing sports myself, skin issues were always something we've struggled with. I continually found myself leaning towards the medical side of esthetics to figure out how to give back to the skin and combat the effects from years of playing sports including congestion, dehydration, and sun damage.
The one thing I love most about esthetics is that it is constantly evolving and growing with new technologies and modalities. I believe that there is always an opportunity to learn something new. I'm eager and driven to continue my journey with the incredible team at Defy.
When I'm not at the office, you can always find me on the water. As a child, I spent my summers on my grandfather's boat in northern Michigan. Now, I get to share those same experiences with my own family, even on the same boat, right here in metro Detroit.
